New Delhi : Six persons have been arrested for allegedly robbing a house owner and his domestic help in West Delhi's Naraina area for allegedly robbing a house owner and his domestic help. The information had been given by the police on Sunday.

The accused have been identified as Qasim Ansari (22), Mohammad Razi (19), Mamoon Ahmed (22), Tasleem (22), Fardeen Siddiqui (19), and Bal Kishan (50), he said. The incident happened on Friday morning when the woman and her helper were alone at home. At around 11 pm, two boys entered his house and locked him in the kitchen. One of them pointed a pistol at the owner's head while the other caught hold of the domestic help. Police said the accused forcibly took away the gold jewelry including two necklaces, bangles, and rings.

A senior police officer said that after the robbery, the accused locked the two in a room and fled. Police said a case has been enlisted and an investigation has been started. One of the charges, Mohammad Razi, was recognized based on his social media handle. The number of his motorcycle was reduced to zero after analyzing the CCTV footage of the installed CCTV security camera, the official said.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that he along with his accomplices carried out the robbery, the officer said. Subsequently, his other associates and the jeweler who bought the looted jewelry from them were also arrested, the official said.

The stolen gold jewelry, a motorcycle, a scooter, a country-made pistol, live cartridges, five mobile phones that were used during the crime, and Rs one lakh in cash were recovered, the police said.
